Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher had passed away, she had just turned 60 years old in 2016.
The significance of 60 in Chinese Metaphysics.
For the Chinese 60 years old is a major life milestone, considered as life coming in one full cycle of 60 years in a sexagenary cycle (Bazi elements system featured exactly 60 pairs of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches).
Traditions of Chinese when it comes to birthday celebration.
From a Chinese metaphysics point of view, there is a transformation from a “heavenly body” to a “human body” at different age and life stages.
Age 1-16: At this age humans are closer to the “heavenly bodies” form, their soul is hardy, they are “allowed” to celebrate their birthdays as frequently and as grand in style as the family can afford to.
Age 17 - 59: Humans have transited from “heavenly body” to proper “Human body”. The soul is now fragile as life itself, Birthday celebrations are still “allowed” according to provincial traditions, but all will follow a structured system e.g. One cannot celebrate their birthday exactly at the tenth year mark (20, 30 etc) and such “special” birthday celebrations has to be completed the year before (only celebrate 20th and 30th birthday at age 19, 29 years old respectively. ). In some cases, people also only celebrate their 30th birthday and skipped the 40th birthday.
Age 60 - 79: One sexagenary cycle of 60 years has passed, humans are considered to be in advanced age. At this stage, one should no longer celebrate their birthday in a grand manner, doing so may aroused the attention from the guardians of Hell and not live past their 60 years old.
Age 80: At this age, humans have returned back to their “heavenly bodies” forms, rejoice! Their souls become hardy again and should have big birthday celebrations, setting off the fire crackers and announced to the whole world that it is their birthday!
One rule of exception though, if that particular year is a clash with their duty “Tai Sui” (jupiter star) then only for that year, the birthday celebrations must go back to underground … celebrate as quietly as possible. E.g. if you are born in year of rabbit and the current year is also rabbit.
Of course nowadays, many Chinese people no longer observed this “taboo” as lifespan has continued to be extended thanks to advances in sanitary systems, medical science and better nutrition.
Now let's analyse Carrie Fisher's birthday and at 60 years old.
Carrie Fisher - at age 60, what does her birth chart reveal?
She is a strong yin metal with lots of earth and metal in her own chart. Her favourable elements are mostly the output elements of wood, fire, water. In her natal birth chart, she does not have many output elements except only at hour pillar and year pillar. At age 60, I focused the bazi microscope at 2 places:
- Her hour pillar of yang wood over yang fire horse - 甲午. The hour pillar are her favourable elements, suggesting a good retirement life with adequate wealth and respected individual in her society. So favourable elements should be attacked or else …
- Her year pillar of Yang Fire over Yang Metal Monkey. She is a born a Fire Monkey and in 2017, her year pillar is under clashed with “Tai Sui” (jupiter star). So basically only under clash and the good properties of the Fire

Imbalanced caused by too many Earth (thinking, image) and metal elements (unhelpful friends).
Her hour pillar 甲午 is priority for me to analyze this chart because:
1) At 60 years old, the details on her hour pillar is current to her stage of life now.
2) The 2 natal birth elements are key favourable elements and is so far keeping her chart precariously in a moderately "balanced" natal state, hence danger will arises when this pillar is under attacked.

2) Warning Sign 2 - For Carrie, Fire element is her favourable element, Fire represents the eyes, heart and blood. The day she had boarded in London is a very cold day, highest 9 degrees and lowest 4 degrees. On the 24th Dec 2016, there is a also a Monkey-Rat-Dragon string of water formation. Water energy on that day is probably double or triple hence the weather is unfavourable for her, her body becomes sensitive to the changes in temperature and the general winter conditions also not helping. If you have taken a flight before, you will know how cabin temperatures can change rapidly. Low temperature can triggered sudden cardiac arrest events.
3) Warning Sign 3 - This is also one of the most important. Carrier Fisher’s most favourable element in the hour pillar has been under “attacked” by the Yang Metal over Yang Water Rat month. This type of clash has a technical term of 天冲地克 (Tian Chong Di Ke), usually these sort of clashes in Chart will mean obstacles and challenges for that period of time. Hence this cardiac arrest event for Carrie is a major life obstacle.
Can we predict on what kind of obstacles a person will face?

After-thought:
Chinese people can have some strange ideas and they console themselves a lot. Many of them has long believed that sometimes losing small money is ok, they call it 花钱消灾 (spending money to neutralise troubles).
Our old masters in Chinese Metaphysics had observed that on days when elements clashed against each other severely; it can manifest in matters as small as disruption or loss of possessions e.g. traffic fine, sudden missing of flights, losing your wallet or handphone etc. It can also manifest as an accident, sudden injury or illness.
One of the antidotes by the clever old masters were to artificially make provisions by deliberately “parting” with something e.g. donating money to charity, giving something way which is of material value or even arranged for an elective surgery in that particular clashing month. Such antidotes are still “dispensed” by current masters to their clients.
